I'm a classically trained professional musician; flutist first and foremost, singer second. Anything else you want to know, please watch my videos! If you can't get what you're looking for from them, then feel free to just ask me! :-)
Interests and Hobbies: Music, of course; and reading, I LOVE to read. I'll read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I also love to write; mostly poetry, though I've been known to dabble in short stories and the occasional narrative now and then. I also do a fair amount of composing, and LOTS of scoring and arranging, so if you ever need to put words to music, or just need a good melody for something, you've come to the right place!
Movies and Shows: The Shawshank Redemption is without a doubt my favorite movie of all time. I love movies, I'm a big movie buff - got that from my dad, I'm afraid. My DVD collection currently amounts to 300+ and is still growing - I can't stop! I don't usually have much time for TV, but I definitely make time for the following (in no particular order): Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, Nip/Tuck, Meerkat Manor (I LOVE Animal Planet!), Intervention, Mystery Diagnosis, Primetime...I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two, but those are the ones that immediately jump to mind.
Music: Pretty much anything except rap and country. Obviously I have a soft spot for classical music, and you can probably tell from my Favorites list that my favorite band is Dream Theater. I've seen them live 4 times now, and the 5th is hopefully in the not-too-distant future!
Books: The Harry Potter series. I'm eagerly (and with a certain amount of trepidation) awaiting the publication of Deathly Hallows, the final installment in the septology. I also love Stephen King, and my favorite work by him is his Dark Tower series. If you haven't read it, I STRONGLY recommend it - it's not typical King, that's for sure. I also ADORE Jack Kerouac, J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis (especially the Chronicles of Narnia, though Till We Have Faces is also a favorite of mine), Neil Gaiman, Charlaine Harris, Madeleine L'Engle, Jane Austen (it's the romantic in me, what can I say?), Anne Rice, Dan Brown...seriously, I could go on and on...and on.
