These set of videos were edited before I uploaded and received feedback from the community. It's after I uploaded the videos did I find many of my viewers wanted to see more, specifically the catch and release of each of the animals - something I never foresaw. Future videos take this feedback into consideration. These videos were shot years ago, and today I am focusing on releasing higher quality content and new adventures for my supporters and I'm grateful to everyone who's given me feedback.

From my website: There is however one animal which I could not find and spent most of my time searching for: the fearless honey badger. Some days I would trek almost 40km in search for one of these species and had many tribal trekkers trying to help me find one of these elusive animal's, on my return back to Africa the honey badger is at the top of my list for animals I would like to capture, apparently the honey badger just doesn't care - to meet me.

From my Vice.com interview: "Ucles has recently returned from a 10 week trip to Kenya, where he accumulated some 50 hours of footage shot by a young local who'd never used a camera before. The trip was ostensibly self-funded; some of Wollongong's pubs and nightclubs threw fundraisers in his honour...He has entered into a ‘talent holding agreement’ with Discovery International. The Africa tapes, he says, 'blew Discovery away.' No shit." - No team here mate, just Ucles vs Africa :D

I had received all necessary legal and needed permissions to make the trip. I spent a few months working with locals and natives learning their methods and seeking their guidance - after a few months I set out of my own, 30 days walking down the Zambezi river a solo and grueling 350km walk. There were no 'guns' behind me, the Masai people and the Kikuyu people took me under their care and taught me their skills of hunting and gathering which had been passed onto them - more info on my website.

Many of my videos were edited before I uploaded them on my channel. To my surprise it wasn't until I received feedback from the community that people wanted to see the captures, so I finally did that with the rabbit video as a first. I believe my videos demonstrate real passion and dedication - a real love for wildlife and nature. I've been doing this since I was a very young boy and I never imagined using tricks then and I have no plans to do so now.

Hey mate, anyone would be scared running from an elephant weighing 4-5 tons - especially when you feel your bones tremble with each of his steps - and my camera man was just a local man, no bazookas here. I mean to say most venomous in Australia, sorry for the mistake, it was difficult to talk and stay safe at the same time.
In Africa I also caught black and green mambas, spitting cobras, forest cobras, puff adders, carpet vipers, gaboon vipers and horned vipers, check those snakes out :)

I'm currently studying a Master's in Wildlife Management and my quest in Africa was about unveiling the truth. The experience was merely about stepping into the lives of the native people, walking with them in their daily routines. I wanted to experience a culture and learn their traditional ways, from learning how to navigate through thick scrub, to tracking animals down to consume, to dancing and taking part in ritual ceremonies to preparing and collecting water for consumption.
