Hi Jay, need your help. I have reinstalled my ubuntu 14.04 LTS and now I cannot install my epson scanner on it. I have tried so many steps I found in utube and google, nothing works. Installed the epson printer was fine, working ok, but when I opened Simple scan, it is undetected my epson scanner. It is L350. Before I did something bad to my old ubuntu, it worked fine - the printer and scanner epson in ubuntu. What should I do now? Thank you.
First thank you for the instructional videos. They were very helpful in installing Arch Linux
RE: Latest Arch installation videos - I had to install qt4 to get VLC to work. Plays video and audio files properly now.
On Rythmbox I can point it to my Music folder, but it will not pick up or play any songs from it. If I right click on the audio file I can only Open with the mpv player.- VLC and Rythmbox do not come up as options. File will play in mpv. So far have not found the solution in wiki.
On the latest Arch Linux installation videos I had to load qt4 to get VLC to work.
For Rhythmbox I saw mDNS service errors when running in Terminal. I resolved this by loading avahi and enabling and starting the service: avahi-daemon.service
Still can't gets songs to populate from a CD or the Music folder.
Hi,
I’d like you to help me with VxLAN configurations on Ubuntu using Linux bridge/OpenvSwitch.
I need to create an overlay network (10.10.10.0/24) on two different subnets (192.168.1.0/24 & 172.16.1.0/24) and the configurations should be permanent.
Also, VMs with IP addresses within the overlay network should be able to access the internet and the underlaying subnets.
Many thanks in advance.
Ibrahim.

Hi Jay! I like your videos. I have a suggestion. Split your tutorials playlist into seporate playlists. There is so much content in that single playlist. I think your channel would be easier to browse if you do that. All the best!
Jay, used your guide to setting up SAMBA...worked great. testparm worked, could access on the same machine. I can't access them from any of the other machines connected via my wireless router. Not sure where to go from here....I'm so close. I don't have a firewall on my host machine. Seems like the netgear modem/router must be preventing it? Any tips?
Strange...SOLVED. I tried to set my laptop to host using the same exact smb.conf and smbshared.conf you use in you video....intending to use THAT machine as a server. Soon as I did....it connected to the shares on my original desktop. Go figure :) Thanks and will be watching a bunch of your videos...glad I ran across this
+Bill Warp Well....hard wired my laptop and still can't get on, same error. Is there something I need to do on the client machine to allow connection? All clients are either Xubuntu 14.04 or Mint

Hi,
i just left a comment under "Tutorial: Installing Linux Mint 15" (vid link: /watch?v=9KNK8OXIFyQ) but that video has been out for over two years so i´ll leave the comment here as well, maybe it will be seen faster/by more people here. and my problem is kind of urgent, so there´s that...

Hey,
first off, great video, it really walks you through the steps nicely. i
have a big issue though, and a question attached to that: in 13:10
you said you were satisfied with the way you partitioned your hard
drive and went on to installing mint. you did however not talk about the
"Device for boot loader installation" option and just left it as it is.
i feel like one should select a partition there...it is the only thing
i´m not sure about yet, and as of now, i can´t boot from hdd at all.
quick help is greatly appreciated (from anybody who can say something
about this)."

Hello Jay! just followed your tutorial for installing ubuntu 15.10 on my acer aspire, just wanted to try it out since im just started studying computer engineering. It work well at first it installed and ieverything was fine. But when I tried to start it again I got into "ubuntu gnu grub version 2.02 beta 2-29" where I could choose to start Ubuntu, do advanced installment or memory checks. When I try to start it Ubuntu it says im missing the file to start and I get a black screen with code and att the buttom it says "end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)". Try to reeinstall it but I a message saying "Ubi-partman failed with exit code 10. Further information may be found in /var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running this step again before continuint? If you do not, your installation may fail entirely or may be broken.". Tried looking it up but I don´t get example of what to do in my case, any suggestions?
