Regarding the thumbnail pictures: I suppose those are "spam accounts" (though it may not be spam in the classical sense) which subscribe to popular channels like this one, hoping that people who visit the channels in question will be fooled into visiting _their_ (i.e. the spammer's) channels by the pictures depicting large breasts etc.
